Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Ness
If you found me it is possible you either have Fibromyalgia, you are a woman or a mummy like me so already we have something in common.
Life really can make you lose sight of the wonderful things, the small moments. It is so easy to lose your smile especially when you are diagnosed with Fibromyalgia so hopefully, I can show you that life can be magical, you just need to find your balance.
I am a curvy forty-six years old excitable female with my head in the clouds. (Daydreaming or Fibro Fog) My earth mamma, hippie ways keep me smiling on the painful days. Also, it helps to be a qualified Holistic Therapist and someone who tries to maintain Buddhist beliefs as this helps my inner calm. I try my best to love life and create a positive, happy existence no matter what the day brings.
I was raised in Liverpool, North West England (where The Beatles are from.)
My family consists of five amazing sons ages 22, 21, 19, 14 and 11, a beautiful black Labrador called Seamus, a grumpy Shih Tzu called Maggie and a baby Tortoise called Tommy Shelby... and me Mum.
I write from the heart, it can be a blessing and a curse to be brutally honest about all aspects of life with Fibromyalgia. My blog is, therefore, a true account of my life with five sons, fibromyalgia and how I fill my world with colour and crochet.
I am a writer for The Mighty which is an amazing publication for the disabled, disease, chronic illness and mental health community.
But enough about me... I am just delighted we found each other and hopefully, you will read some of my words and think, me too!
